Tranzsend Prayer and Self Denial 2019

This year May is our Transend Prayer and self denial month of focus on missions. This year we have the target of $5000 to raise from our Church. Over the month of May we will have plenty of challenges for you to help you find ways to raise this crucial funding for the work of The Baptist Church internationally.

April 28, 2019: Kick off!

Today we will officially begin the Missions Focus Month, come along to collect the vessels to hold your sacrificial giving.

Steve Bryant will be speaking on the topic of 'Where God Leads', and George Hattingh will also be sharing about how to get involved in the upcoming short term missions trip from SABC to the Philippines.

Ginette Edmonds will introduce us to the dedicated SABC women from the BMF team.

May 5, 2019: Cake Stall!

This week Steve Hills will be speaking on the topic of 'Where God Leads', and Tori and Alex will be giving us some great ideas about how to raise funds and there will also be forms available for your fitness sponsorship goals.

Make sure you bring some money for the fundraising cake stall after the service!

May 19, 2019: Traffiking and Slavery

Did you see Anna Button competing in the recent City to Surf in a wedding dress? An effective fundraising effort! Anna will be speaking this week about a real passion of hers - Traffiking and slavery. How does the fundraising we raise help to break through for people in these desperate situations?

There will also be some sharing about Ramp Up Trust's mission work in the pacific, make sure you are there to hear about their most recent trip to Samoa this year.

Tori and Alex will be giving us some more great ideas about how to raise funds and there will also again be forms available for your fitness sponsorship goals for this week.

May 26, 2019: Closing Words...

This Sunday we will be returning the funds we have raised - bring your collection vessels with you today!

We will also have our annual press-up challenge and at the end of the service we will be able to announce the total raised.

Make sure you stick around after the service for a celebration cake for the group of praying NZBMS women from St Albans Baptist who have been faithfully praying for many years. Be sure to ask about joining this prayer group.
